I made this Winnie the Pooh cake for my daughter’s first birthday. I have never taken a decorating class but I saw the other cakes on this site and decided to give it a try.
I traced the face from a picture off the internet, copied it in black icing then inverted it onto the white iced cake. I would suggest letting the white icing dry a bit first though…I lost some of it onto the tracing paper. I used a small hole tip for the black outlines (I think it was a #2) Then I just colored in with a star tip and the butter cream icing that I colored. If you are using a picture as a guide, be sure to have a color copy with you when you decorate.
Everyone at the party was impressed with the cake and I was thrilled at how my first attempt came out.
