My 2 year old is in love with Yo Gabba Gabba. So I decided to make her a Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Cake with the logo and then use the plastic figures as decoration. I made a 9×13 cake and tinted all the frosting by hand, except the pink was a sparkly gel from the store. I made a print out of the logo and blew it up to the right size.
I iced the cake in white buttercream then laid the template on the top and traced with a toothpick. I did this in two parts, first the outside and then the inside of the logo shape. I iced in yellow the cloud shape and then outlined in orange. Next I outlined the spikey shape and then stared in the blue. I free handed the words.
Finally I added random shapes like in the original logo in orange. The figures added the perfect touch and my son got an extra toy!
Hello,
Could you please tell me where you got your yo gabba gabba figures for on top the cake? I found them on Amazon but I don’t want to pay $55-60 for them.
Thanks!
