I had a request for a Tie Dye Graduation cake with daisy’s. I began by making 3 different fondant daisy’s a few days prior. I baked the 14″ round and 10″ round cakes, frosted with buttercream and assembled. I do not own an airbrush so I had to use food color spray. I sprayed one color at a time as I turned the cake on a turntable. I found it necessary to spray 1 color at a time as the spray colors tend to bleed. I let the cake dry and placed the daisy’s on the cake, piped the base of each tier and the daisy centers. I also added some pearl dust to make them shiny. I think the cake turned out pretty cool.
I know some people that would LOOOOVE a tie dye cake!!! It is a wonderful idea and it came out beautifully!!! Great cake :)
The best Tye dye cake I’ve ever seen. That must have taken a lot of time and patience. The colors are just right and the flowers are beautiful. Great Job.
