I made this Converse Sneaker Cake for someone at work’s niece. She wanted a pair of these for her birthday and they had a hard time finding them, so she thinks she is not getting the real sneakers.
I baked a 9×13 cake, traced a picture of the bottom of the shoe and added 2 layers for the high top part. I covered the cake with the green fondant, then layered the white for the sole. I printed the converse logo on edible paper from a picture of the actual patch on the shoe. I also printed the “All Star” on the back and the 2 purple stripes.
Love it!
That cake is so cool
Love the colors ! May I ask how did you do the shoelaces? make holes in the fondant, then pull the laces through and actually tie them?
By the way, did you use any dowels and how many servings did that make? I’m making a cake for June 24 and would love to hear back. Thanks so much.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW YOU STACKED THE CAKES.
SO I CAN MAKE THE SHOE CAKE. I AM A LITTLE CONFUSED, AS TO HOW YOU STARTED THE FRONT PART OF
OF THE SHOE. DID YOU TRACE THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOE
SHOE. THEN CUT IT OUT USING THE TRACED PIECE FOR
THE BOTTOM. PART OF THE SHOE. HOW MANY PIECES OF
THE CAKE DID YOU USE TO MAKE THE HIGH TOP PART.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS I AM A BEGINNER BAKER
AND AM DOING THIS ON MY OWN I NEED TO DO THIS CAKE
CAKE FOR MY NIECE B-DAY ON SUNDAY, I WANT HER TO
