My daughter was very into dinosaurs by age 3 so I wanted to make her a special birthday cake. I looked on this website for some ideas and decided to try this Dinosaur Birthday Cake. In a few of the other postings are actual template illustrations of what size and shape cake pans to use and how to cut them to form the body of the dinosaur.
It was actually very easy to put it all together. I just used store made icing colored green. Then I got creative and used what I had at home for the decorations. I used crackers for the back scales and some candy corns and jelly beans for the spikes and eyes and claws.
This was the first fun and special cake I ever attempted to do. I have to say it came out pretty good for my first time. I got a lot of compliments and people thought it must have been so hard to make. Not at all….lol. And most of all my daughter LOVED it!!
