Everyone loved this tea party cake. I made it for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party. We had a tea party and the girls had a blast. I kept the cake hidden until it was time and everyone was blown away, especially my daughter!
I used the Wilton ball cake pans along with two oval cakes that I sculpted between the two halves of ball. The tea cups were made from jumbo cupcakes with the tops cut off.
I premade marshmallow fondant a week ago for the spout and handles so they could harden. The cake has strawberry buttercream and yellow piping.
I used the brown gel icing for the tea which I had learnt about on this website.
That is adorable! You did a fantastic job. Lucky little girls must have loved that fancy cake.
The cakes are wonderful! You did a great job.
omg, this one is my favorite!! nice work!
This is so adorable. Great work!! A+
I could use a good recipe for marshmallow fondant. One I got on the internet seems to leave me more covered in the process of making it than the cake. Would you mind sharing yours?
Sorry I didn’t check the comments lately. The marshmallow recipe that I have is:
16 ounce bag of marshmallows (big ones)
2 pound bag of icing sugar
1/2 cup water (you will not use all of it)
Flavouring (1 to 1 1/2 tsp)
and here is the directions I used:

Hope that works of you!!
