I made this for my 26th birthday. I got the idea from this sight. I baked three 8in cakes and after they cooled down, I cut them in half and put frosting between them to stick. To hold better I stuck straws in the cake and then put it in the freezer.
The next day I made the ship and frosted it. After I put the chocolate frosting on, the side started to fall, so I stuck wooden skewers to hold it. Also I used the wooden skewers to make the sails. I got white paper, painted skulls and then stuck in on. To give it more of a pirate look I got one of my ship wheels to set it on. Everyone who came, loved it.
