This was not a Halloween cake, but rather a birthday cake. My son is obsessed with skulls, so this is the cake I made. It is an ice cream cake I made with a spring form pan and little ice cream sandwiches. I fanned the sandwiches within the form, and filled in the void space with frozen yogurt. It required 2 layers.
When it was frozen and set, I quickly decorated it with a template I drew. Simple white icing, with black gel for the skull detailing, and blue sugar for the background. I wish I took a picture of the cross section, because I made it with Neapolitan ice cream bars, looked super yummy, and tasted that way too.
Hi I live in Brockville as well and am wondering if you do character cakes. I would like a Dora the Explorer Charcter cake for June 20.
