This Homemade Pirate Ship Birthday Cake I made for my son’s 3rd birthday. I first cut the cake into 5 pieces, then I arranged them to create a ‘ship’ shape. I then frosted the cake all over and in between the slices. For the frosting butter cream I used a drop of milk icing and baking butter. I sliced fondant into strips then put them on one by one.
I added Maltasers for cannon balls. I also made pirate cupcakes chocolate sponge with chocolate butter cream on top. I used a piping bag for the frosting, added pirate pick flags and a chocolate button.
