Macy was a Halloween baby, and always wants a Halloween themed birthday cake. She also wanted a Barbie cake, so I incorporated the Halloween theme, by making a Halloween Witch Cake.
I baked one cake in my Pampered Chef large measuring cup, and made an 8″ round cake for the base.
I bought spiders and bats and purchased a doll at the local Dollar store to add to the theme. I used buttercream icing tinted purple and black to decorate the cake. I used the star tip for the bottom of the dress, and for the bodice, and added squiggly lines on the dress to make it spookier.
Then I added the bats and bugs because Macy loves the bats and bugs on her birthday cakes! I bought a tiny black hat and glued it on the doll’s hair, and added a spider.
This was a fun cake to do!
