I baked a 13×9 and an oval cake for this Turkey Cake. I let the oval cake dome when it cooked so I could use it to make the turkey look round. I put the oval cake on top of the 13×9. The exposed parts of the 13×9 are what I cut off to make the turkey legs.
I carved a slanted line down the middle to show the middle of the turkey. I did a reg icing, then I made marshmallow fondant and covered the turkey. I took a pizza cutter and lightly rolled the lines in the turkey to look like turkey skin. I then put yellow food color in my air brush machine and sprayed the cake, then I went back over it with brown.
For the stuffing, I bought sugar cubes. I sprayed them with yellow and brown food color. They made wonderful stuffing.
Hmmmm, interesting.
