I made a buttercream frosting and tinted it different color blues. Then I frosted the ocean cake first with one color, then another and swirled them together. I used the back of the spoon in order to create the ‘waves’. I sprinkled it with edible blue glitter.
The rocks are made from Rice Krispie Treats that I molded and then rolled through a bowl of different colored chocolate (I melted orange, green, dark brown and white together)
The kelp is made of green and blue Twizzlers and sour apple fruit leather.
The seashells and sea creatures are made using Wilson’s chocolate molds. The sea creatures were lollipops so I could stick them in the cake and make it more 3-D.
