For this race car cake, use a 9″x13″ pan, cut 2 “V” shapes in the front, cut a square half way through the cake for the seats.
(If I did this cake again I will round off all the edges to make it a little more realistic.)
Next, ice the whole thing white, use a pastry bag to get into the V shapes. Fill in the seating with red icing and a large round tip. Outline rimming as it appears on the car. I also put the birthday boy’s name on the back of the car and outlined it, to make it look like a license plate.
This cake ended up being very simple to make.
I love this cake! I just made one for my son’s 5th birthday today. It was much easier than I anticipated. I will be making it again next weekend for his party!
