I used a football mold that I got from Micheal’s arts and crafts store. For the football, I crumb coated the cake after cooling and then added the fondant that I colored red and blue. The strings, the “giants” all of that is fondant as well. I just cut the size I needed for one half of the football so I could have the half-&-half look and for the string I rolled it and tried to give it a 3d affect. I poked holes in it where the strings are to give it a more realistic affect too.
The grass on the Homemade NY Giants Football Birthday Cake is from a piping tip for grass and hair, etc. #233. To make the strings and the letters stick I used water.
