2-4-6-8 Who do we appreciate? We love the game, my daughter loves the sport. So, I had to make her a softball theme cake. I used the 3D ball cake pan by Wilton and layered it on top of a 12″ x 12″ round cake. It was perfect. Because girls play with a green softball, i used the Electric green color to match it perfectly. It was a big HIT at the party and I am sure i will do it again…This same idea can be used for a variety of sports (which i plan on trying)….soccer, tennis, basketball, baseball and even golf. You can add script or fun little toy pieces to elaborate on the theme, also a fun trinket children at the party can take home with them. When i took the cake out of the box, one of the girls made the following comment “that is one of the coolest cakes i have ever seen”. That just melted my heard and it made all the time and hard work involved, so worth it!
