Here is a Sonic Birthday Cake I made for a 5th birthday! I have made a lot of other birthday cakes but never a Sonic! I made Sonic by carving his hair by hand from a 9 inch round cake and I used the same thing for his head except his head was 2 layers and his hair was just one! For a reference on what Sonic looked like I used a birthday invitation and a picture of another sonic cake that was found online. I only used the star tip on this cake.
All of the colors were made with Wilton products found at my local hobby lobby. Decoration of this cake took a total of about 7 hours! This cake easily fed 18 people and the pieces were generous. This cake was a lot of fun to make and I was really happy with the way it turned out! Better than that…every time I make a cake I am really happy with it challenges me to do something bigger and better the next time!

I’m atmping to make this cake. Any more ideas on how you cut it? Was the 7 hrs total time it took u to star it and piece it together? Any more details that would be helpful? What size of star tip did u use? Thanks a lot
