My name is Christine and I am addicted to Angry Birds. I got my inspiration for this from one of the start-up screens in the original Angry Birds game.
I started by making three layers of a 7 x 11 pan to make the back/body of the castle. Then I made six layers of a 4” round pan—three for each tower. I stacked each with layers of butter cream icing in the middle, iced everything in a dark grey butter cream, and then cut out a partial 4” circle from the front two corners of the 7 x 11 cake so that the towers would fit more closely to the cake.
Then I rolled out fondant and cut it into long thin strips, then again into “bricks”. Then each brick/block was laid one by one around the cake, alternating them around the entire castle. Then I colored some more fondant and made three pigs and the red, white, yellow and black birds.
love love your cakes can you please help me i want to make a gray fondant for the tours can you tell me how to make the color fondant and the tours please please this would help me alot thank you
Hi Martha. I used three 4″ round cakes for each tower. And for the grey fondant, I just added a little bit of black food coloring until I was happy with the color. Hope that helps!
