The birds on this Homemade Angry Birds Cake are made out of fondant (the Wilton primary color pack). Just modeled them after some others I saw on the web. Hint: For the white, or for other smaller details, use AIRHEADS candy! You can nuke them for 10 seconds to soften and they are so easy to mold…and tasty!
The cake itself is 2 9×13 chocolate cakes. The base is one full cake, then cut the other into thirds for the “mounds”. Used Little Debbie snack cakes for the wood structures.
I couldn’t find a slingshot ANYWHERE, so I used a wooden letter “Y” I found at Walmart, then found a replacement slingshot band in the sporting goods store.
