This Star of the Show cake was made for Shirley (Pete’s wife) who had her fortieth birthday and is an absolute star – hence the theme of the cake. This was made from three layers of sponge cake and decorated with fondant icing – the flowers on the stage were tiny silk roses! She loved it!
