I didnt really have time but my friend’s birthday was close and a busy schedule of a med student, doesn’t allow too much of social life. You know what I mean.
1. Make a simple vanilla cake
2. Pink fondant and extra butter cream for designing
Simple vanilla cake:
- 400g flour
- 18g baking powder
- 4eggs
- 300g sugar
- 200g butter
- 200g milk 4%
- Vanilla
- nutmeg
Procedure:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, nutmeg, baking powder, flour and milk. Preheat oven and bake for 45-1hr, medium heat. Soft vanilla cake ready.
Fondant:
- 200g marshmallow
- 500g icing sugar
- apple flavouring
Micro wave marshmallow with 10g butter for a minute. Pour in bowl with icing sugar mixing as fast a possible. Incorporate icing sugar into marshmallow untill you have a round small malleable ball. Allow to rest for 10mins.
Roll to about 1mm-2.5mm thickness and wide enough to cover the cake. Place on cake, cut of any excess. Decorated the base. Place red butter cream in then push it all out, then place white butter cream with #8 star mouth, imprint around the top edges, 7-8 imprints. This will give you nice white center and red periphery,
