With my father-in-law’s 60th birthday coming up we decided to throw him a surprise party with all of his friends and family. I volunteered to make this cake, I was a little nervous because I hadn’t made fondant before but I was very pleased with how it turned out. My husband’s whole family are huge Steelers fans so I thought this would be just the cake to do.
After we surprised him we showed him the cake, his vision is bad due to battling cancer and diabetes and when he saw it he thought it was an actual Terrible Towel and asked for the one of the cupcakes he saw! I didn’t mind that he did that and the cake got a lot of great comments! He is no longer with us anymore and the picture of this cake gives us all great memories to look back on that great day.
