My daughter loves the movie Brave (it’s the first movie she saw in theater). So for her 5th birthday she wanted a Brave party complete with a Merida cake. I don’t like working with fondant so we decided on a completely butter cream frosted doll cake. I bought the Merida doll at local big box store and then used the Wilton doll pan along with a 9 inch round cake pan on the bottom.
I iced the cake and doll as smooth as I could get it then used tip #3 to draw the outlines on her dress and the design on her dress. I then used a star tip and filled in the bottom of her dress with that. She loved it and the cake was a big hit at her party!
