My grandson was having a beach party theme for his pool-side birthday party. I created a half sheet cake that was white cake with cheesecake filling. I made water from tinted Swiss Meringue with a slope to the beach which was brown sugar.
The beach boy and hat which did resemble my grandson are made from gum paste and the surf board is fondant. The hula girls are frosted cookies on a stick and the Palm trees are actually wood cut outs made for scrapbooking. The sharks were toys! Everyone really enjoyed the cake as well as the decorations on it!
