I started with a 6 inch funfetti cake filled with butter cream, and frosted it Americolor sky blue, then added clouds with a # 12 tip and attached the planes from the Disney planes character set to florist wire and stuck them in the cake.
Next I made the road sign, road cones, hills, road, #4 and ‘Tyler’ name plate out of fondant. I used a mold from my son’s playdough construction set to make the cones and used food safe markers to draw his name and road signs, and food safe glitter to make it shine. The cactus are made from a choc mold.
I frosted a 10 inch funfetti cake white and used food safe color spray to get a sky effect, and choc rocks for the ground, then I placed the track on top and used a #233 tip and green frosting to make the grass and filled in the spaces with eraser cars I found at Wal-mart, 2 for 50¢ and used a cake stand I had to put it all together.
