This beach movie luau themed cake was so much fun to make! A little girl who likes the Teen Beach Movie was having a similar themed birthday party. Her mother and I brainstormed to come up with this cake idea.
It included a van with a surfboard on top along with party themed colored surfboards around the top tier. The bottom tier had a “grass skirt” made of fondant and hibiscus flowers around it.
The two surfboards on top had the girls’ ages and initials on them.
The base of the cakes and the top had crushed graham crackers on them for “sand.”
I got so many compliments on this cake and it really turned out exactly as planned, which is always a bonus.
