This cute baby shower cake was the second cake I was honored to make for my sweet friend Laurel. The first being a reveal cake for her darling little boy.
The cake is white but with a sweet surprise inside. It is filled with blue cake pops so that when it is cut it appears that it has polka dots inside. I thought it would be just a little different from most cakes I do and she loved it!
Buttercream frosting with fondant polka dots and stripes…and three real balloons (water balloons) on gold wires were added. I crafted the little elephant from gray tinted fondant and topped him off with a yellow fondant party hat…..he was precious.
The shower we gave her was beautiful…done in blue, yellow and white. I just wanted to share with y’all a picture of how it turned out. Sweets for the sweet!
