I got this idea for the puppy cake from this website. Except I used small loaf pans instead of muffin pans. I cut them in half and added a chocolate filling. I used the 1M tip. Actually ordered the 1/2 sheet cake from the grocery store and had them spray the top blue and I added the puppies on top.
I didn’t want to make icing from scratch, so I bought the tub icing and added powdered sugar to stiffen because it is soft and doesn’t hold its form right out of the tub. Anything to make life a little easier! I also ordered cupcakes with white icing on them from the bakery and I decorated them with paw prints and put them around the cake. Kids loved them!
