When asked for a tiger cake I was a little anxious but took the challenge. A huge sponge slab cake was the best for carving my tiger from a hand drawn stencil. I iced it all with orange and white icing and then started with the black stripes.
Licorice provided guidelines to pipe in some extra black icing and the face was contacted cardboard that I had drawn earlier (don’t put these on until serving as the colors run). A few tips I have learned is to use good butter for the icing, cartons look better as cakes and have a plan. I drew and planned all the stripes and face so that everything looks right and it fits !!
