Coolest Monkey Birthday Cake

I made this Monkey Birthday Cake for my niece’s second birthday. Her birthday is in June and she had a beach monkey theme.

I used a glass bowl to bake the cake for the head and a cupcake cut in half for the ears. I just used store bought chocolate frosting, and made a small batch of home made frosting with a tiny bit of yellow food coloring for the mouth.

The mouth and eyes are black and blue gel icing (in the little tubes) and the nose is just two chocolate chips. The bananas are little candies.

This one was fun to make and I got a lot of comments!
