I made this monkey cake for my son Mason’s 4th birthday using the Wilton cake pan. I used a boxed cake mix and Wilton icing. I thinned the icing used for the sides with a little water. To do the icing on the feet, hands, face, and eyes, I piped in the icing and then dipped my finger in cornstarch to smooth it down. To border the cake, I decided to do a thick vine of green and then added leaves with a leaf tip. My little monkey definitely loved his monkey cake!
