My daughter loves horses and this year I decided to try and make her a Horse Birthday Cake Idea. I combined lots of ideas I found from other cakes on this site.
I started by making (2) 9×13 chocolate cakes and cut each cake to make the horse. The frosting was fudge from a can and to make the hair I added coconut to give it some texture and then sprayed it with black food coloring spray. The nostril and eye were a junior mint and the mouth was a piece of black licorice cut thin. For the background of the cake I just thinly frosted the cardboard and sprayed the leftover coconut with green food coloring spray and patted that over the frosting to look like grass.
My daughter loved it and I can’t wait to do another one next year!
