Coolest Animal Cake

I came up with the theme, from the theme in Max’s room, animals. I used a chocolate sheet cake 1/2, and iced it a nice green. I then drew and cut out pictures of the animals in his room and laid them on the cake and traced around them with icing.

I then used a copper tint from Wilton, to tint the color for the spots on the giraffe and the lions mane, and a yellow/orange for the body of the giraffe and the lions face. For the eyes of all of the animals I used white to make big eyes and then blue for the color. I used a light and dark blue for the elephant and then placed Happy Birthday Max at an angel with Max down the middle.

This animal cake was a very cute boy cake for a first birthday. He even dove into it as we sang happy birthday to him.
