When I asked my son what kind of cake he wanted for his 16th birthday, he replied, “A Sheep Birthday Cake!” Strange request for a 16 year old, but I’ll do anything for my kids. Instead of buying a fancy pan or cutting a sheep-shape out of a sheet cake (try saying THAT fast 3 times) I decided to decorate it.
The cake was a simple 8″, two-layer lemon cake with lemon pudding between the layers and topped with lemon frosting. The sheep was made by squeezing a tube of decorator’s icing in swirls and making a face and legs with black icing of the same brand. No decorator tips for the tubes, just open and squeeze! It fell in perfect, natural swirls for the body.
A couple of blue sprinkles for the eye and a fragment of black icing for the ear. This was the easiest character cake I’ve ever done!
That is just to cute and a extremely simple idea.
Wow !That was clever!
