Coolest Girl Baby Shower Cake

The head is made from pure fondant and was made first. I used 4 rectangle butter cakes. The larger the better. I layered them with whipped vanilla icing. I sketched up a rough idea of the shape of a sleeping bubby, then cut it out in the slab. I carved little crevices with a small knife (arms, back arch) and shaved the edges to make it rounded.

With the off cuts of cake I cut two triangle pieces and set them aside for the booties. I covered the whole cake in whipped vanilla icing, and pink (or what ever color you like) fondant. Before coloring put some white fondant aside for the shoes.

The nappy, dummy and rubber duckie are all made from fondant and were made a week before hand so they could harden.
