Our granddaughter Tessa is very much into princesses and castles. When we saw the Wilton castle cake kit at the store she loved it and wanted a Princess Castle Birthday Cake for her third birthday party.
I started with the Wilton castle kit and a two tiered cake. Bottom layer is 8 inches and the top layer is 6 inches. I used a white cream frosting. I used pink felt glued onto the roof of the turrets instead of trying to frost them and then added glitter. I positioned the turrets using frosting to secure them to the side of the cake.
Tessa helped decorate by adding the colored sugar. She had the princess figurines shown around the base. The windows of the castle and the turrets were outlined with a shell border and leaves and then placed around the cake.
that cake is way cool.
I made this exact Wilton cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and it was not easy! You made this cake look so elegant and beautiful. What a super job.
I Love this and your granddaughter is so lucky to have a clever nanny
hi my daughters third birthday is two weeks time,i have bought exactly the same kit for the cake,i was just wondering how did u stick the roofs on the turrets?pls could you let me know ASAP it would be much appreciated thanks.
its a nice cake but where did u get the little princesses from??
VERY COOL IT IS LIKE A ORIGINAL DRAWN CARTOON CASTLE
I used a spray adhesive to glue the felt on the roofs of the turrets.
the small princesses came from Walmart. They have them in a set of the Disney princesses
