I made this homemade princess castle cake for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party. It was a learning experience as it was my 3rd attempt with marshmallow fondant. Ground level was (4) 9×9 cakes alternating strawberry and lemon with strawberry & raspberry preserves as filling (berry lemonade cake crumb coated in lemon icing).
2nd story was (3) 9×9 cakes, 2 Swiss chocolate and 1 red velvet with raspberry preserves for filling, crumb coated in cream cheese icing. 3rd story was the same (that was her personal cake). All flowers, vines, and leaves were gumpaste and mmf. Green icing vines were created to glue mmf and gumpaste to the cake. Towers were rice krispie treats covered in mmf. Cylinder shaped for towers and balls for the domes.
