This Pink and Purple Princess Castle Cake was lots of fun to make. I used a regular cake pan and a 7 in sq pan (leveled). Covered the cake in white icing. Then covered each cone with white icing and placed around all 4 corners. It helped to brake of the inside of the cone so it doesn’t cut your cake all the way down.
Then I placed two in the back of the small square. The center ring is a small empty (washed) vegetable can covered in white icing. With a small iced cone I split in half I stuck on the can as the balcony. I put it in the fridge to cool a little.
Next sprayed the pink and purple with canned airbrush food coloring I found at the party store. Then embellished with pre-canned icings (the kind you have to press the tip to come out). I thought it looked plenty fancy, so I didn’t add the pointed towers as I had planned. I added the white to give it a cloudy effect.
Finally I sprinkled little clear sugar crystals to make it look sparkly.
