I wanted to make my daughter’s Castle Birthday Cake myself. I’m tired of store bought cakes. This cake was made with love!
First I made 4 square cakes (9 inches), then I let them cool in the freezer for 30 minutes to reduce crumbs. I leveled the cakes. I put the first square down and icing inbetween the layers. I layered it with 3 cakes. The fourth cake I cut into 4’s. I iced the 3 layers first then the top.
I decorated it with the gumdrops and wafers. For the turrets I used sugar cones and iced them and rolled them in sprinkles. I made my own sprinkles. To make the sprinkles I used Wilton rose coloring put a little in a baggie and used Sugar in the Raw and shook the bag real good.
My 3 year old girl loved the cake and so did all the guests!
