I made this Butterfly cake for my 22nd birthday. I’m practicing my cake making skills. I hired a Wilton’s butterfly cake tin from my local cake shop greased it well and baked a fudge cake because they’re delicious! The only thing about chocolate cakes and white icing is the crumbs get in the icing when you smooth it on and you get cake freckles.
I then piped the purple and the yellow on leaving spaces for flooding the other colors. I used decorating gel for the colored bit on the wings. I piped a mouth and used a skewer to make the smile extra happy. I used two white chocolate buttons and green gel for the eyes. I wanted a butterfly with a cute face and big bug eyes so I was very proud of my creation and was sad to cut him up although he tasted delicious!
