The easiest way to create the basic butterfly cake was to prepare three cakes in a 11×13 pan. One would be used to get the basic head and body shape and then the other two would be for two wings each.
The wings were basically four separate similar-sized hearts. I covered it all with fondant and decorated a little with those princess color glitter gels now available. I used bbq skewers to make antennas. Overall a definite success!
