This homemade Littlest Pet Shop tiered cake was made for my daughter’s 7th birthday. It is a funfetti cake (2 1/2 mixes to be exact) with almond buttercream icing.
I baked the cake in a 11×15 pan and in a 9×13 pan. The layers were cut into squares, the bottom tier was 10×10, the next one up was 8×8, then 6×6, then 4×4. There is a layer of frosting between each tier, but I didn’t use dowels or anything too fancy.
I used my daughter’s toys to add details on top and then cascaded purple flowers throughout the layers for a fun effect. My only complaint was in the buttercream frosting. If I had it to do again, I would use a shortening based frosting as the buttercream kept melting (making my flowers and border look sloppy).
All in all, not bad for my first attempt at stacking cakes!
Umm that cake is awesome im gonna tell my mom to get it
