Coolest Littlest Pet Shop Birthday Cake 39

My 6 year old wanted a “Littlest Pet Shop” Themed Birthday Party so I started my research and went to work with many different ideas in my head for a Littlest Pet Shop Birthday Cake.

I started with the 10″ x 2″ round cake on the bottom covered with green icing for grass. I used the Wilton grass tip to make it look like they were playing in a playground. I bought one set of Littlest Pet Shops with the monkey bars, sand box, hydrant and teeter totter and used that as props that my daughter would get to keep and play with and the rest of the pets were from her already established collection. I

I used a slide from the Polly Pocket Roller Coaster set and had the perfect park scene. The top layer (blue) was an 8” cut down a lot smaller (this was way before my Wilton cake decorating obsession and when I only had one pan in the collection). I covered it in blue icing just making it look wavy like a pool of water for the “water” animals.

The cupcakes to go with the cake are decorated exactly the same way and all animals on top of the cupcakes were part of the kids loot bags and they were able to take them home. (Lucky for me, I got the Pets on sale buy one get one free).
