This homemade My Little Pony Cake was the first cake I have ever made.
I ordered a chocolate sponge from my local supermarket, cut it in half and placed one on top of the other to give it more height. I filled the centre with jam and cream. I used Betty Crocker frosting, but would recommend using a thicker butter icing instead.
I got my colours from a cake supplies shop. I printed out a picture of My Little Pony, enlarged it and traced it onto baking paper; I then used a toothpick to push through the baking paper, following the lines.
Great job!
For a first cake; this was a great job!!!! I am doing a my little pony cake for my granddaughter and will use your suggestions. Thanks,
Hi Diana recently found out you can get a mudcake slab from your supermarket too.
