My cake is real basic and super easy to do! It is supposed to look like Optimus Prime. Took about 3 hours-probably supposed to take way less but I did this while super burnt out at like 10 pm. I have four kids, 6 and under, so I waited until late to bake and decorate so I wouldn’t have any helpers with this Transformers Optimus Prime cake.
I baked a funfetti cake (used 2 boxes) in a Wilton pan 11×15 inch and then flipped onto a cake board-covered in foil. Let stand for a good 20 min to cool down so I could then crumb coat with the basic vanilla frosting( I used 2 containers). I freehanded a basic transformer outline from viewing a picture with cake writers marker in yellow. Then piped in color and outline with Wilton tip #16 and basic round tip for writing the Happy Birthday on the side and squeezing in the names.
I used some other colors not really on the real Optimus Prime, but my son loved the contrast. This was a joint party cake for my son and his dad. We were able to serve about 30 good sized pieces from this size cake. My son was thrilled with his cake, Happy cake making to you all-may it lead to many smiles !
