My son loved Blues Clues when he was little. I decided to do his first birthday cake in the shape of Blue. I had always bought cakes in the past and money was too tight to buy one that year. It doesn’t help that my husband, three children and I all have birthdays within a six week period. So I went to the internet to find ideas.
I came across this website and decided to try it. I found a cake template online and just cut out Blue’s head. I tinted the frosting blue with food coloring. Once I had it frosted, I used blue sprinkles for her spots. I used a piece of taffy candy for her tongue, junior mints and marshmallows for her eyes.
For my first theme cake, I was a little shocked that this Blue’s Clues Birthday Cake turned out so well.
