This is a picture of my son’s Lightning McQueen birthday cake for his 4th birthday. I always browse this site for ideas before making my cakes, so I thought I should post my own. I used the Lightning McQueen cake pan from Wilton’s, as well as their Lightning McQueen frosting coloring set.
My son wanted a red cake, so I made a red velvet cake mix and used homemade cream cheese frosting. Overall pretty easy and family/friends were impressed. I followed the directions that came with the cake pan. The most time consuming part for me was tinting all the different colors and changing to frosting bags. My son loved the cake!
