My daughter wanted a Hello Kitty cake, and rather than try to fashion one out of a cake pan, I instead just fashioned one out of fondant and put it on top of a tiered cake (I love tiered cakes!).
I rolled the fondant out and traced the pattern from one I printed off the computer. Then I used a special black frosting pen to make the features.
