I made this Nemo Under the Sea Birthday Cake with a 12 inch double layer white cake with buttercream icing in the center. It is made out of all buttercream icing. I drew Nemo on and then I had purchased the little sea creatures at a local store.
The sand is crushed graham crackers. For the sea bottom I was not sure how I was going to border it out so I started with some sea weed in the bottom with the sand and just ran with it all over the cake. I finished the cake out really well. Also added sea weed to the side of the cake as well for it to run together more smoothly.
I loved doing this cake and the 4 year old loved it as did all the parents at her party.
