I used a 12-inch round vanilla sponge for the face of this Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake, and baked an extra one to cut the shape out for the ears.
I based the idea on a picture I found online. The black is pre-dyed fondant icing, and I dyed the face using pink food dye.
I iced the edges using black buttercream icing, and used black piping icing to do the details.
