I used a rectangle pan for this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday Cake and doubled the layers. I used a butterless buttercream recipe: 2 cups Crisco, 1 teaspoon clear butter flavor, 1 teaspoon clear vanilla flavor, 1 bag of confectioners sugar, and 6 tablespoons milk. Add Crisco, butter flavor, vanilla flavor and mix together well. Add sugar, 1 cup at a time while mixing. When whole bag is mixed in then add 6 tablespoons of milk and mix well.
I drew a clubhouse on paper the actual size of pan. Frosted cake with sky blue and leaf green, and cut each part of the clubhouse out and traced it on cake with toothpick. Then piped each part with a writing tip and filled in with pipe tip and waited till it dried to smooth it down.
I made the walk way with a circle tip and let them dry before flattening them down. I made clouds on top and sides of the top and the gate around the side of the bottom. I added a little grass with a grass tip.
My favorite part is the little door on the shoe. I have done a few cakes so far and this is my favorite. This was for my nephew Gavin’s second birthday.
